for Rankin County Jail Inmates

Why:

Christ had a special place in His heart for prisoners.  He makes clear that release for prisoners and deliverance for the oppressed is at the core of His earthly ministry.  He is certainly talking about those who are literally in prison but just as certainly about those who are spiritual prisoners/captives to sin.  Whether for earthly sins or spiritual captivity, the families, and especially the children of those captives often suffer most of all. In addition to material assistance to prisoners and their families, we believe Christ would have us pray for them.  (Matthew 25:31-46, Acts 12, Luke 4:18-21)

Who:

Men and women in the Rankin County Adult Detention facilities, as well as, their families. Those charged and on bond or in jail awaiting trial; those who have been convicted and imprisoned or on probation; and those on parole or other post-release supervision.
